Black Fri·day
noun
- (in the US) the day after Thanksgiving, noted as the first day of traditional Christmas shopping, during which crowds of consumers are drawn to special offers by retailers
When looking at the above definition, what draws my attention is the phrase "crowds of consumers are drawn to special offers" because it seems to be taken from a animal planet documentary.
On the picture we see a large group of humans waiting for their prey. The human usually obtains its goods peacefully, getting aggressive only when competition increases and there is less goods than gatherers. For some reason the human provokes these aggressive behaviors by creating the Black Friday.
There is no logical explanation for the occurrence of Black Friday for the outside viewer, but it is believed to be a power-display ceremony where obtaining as many goods as possible is the desired result which not only boosts the individuals' status but also their self-satisfaction.
Black Friday is coming to Europe already it has taken over the UK and last year it appeared in France...
