Inequality

There are many demonstrations, protests and parades trying to overthrow inequality and prejudice. They reflect people's frustration with inequality (gender, racial or any kind of it) and their strive to stand against it, to take action upon their beliefs. But is change coming? Can a group of people actually make a difference?

I think that even though the reason of discrimination will be different in various situations and the measures undertaken, the circumstances and people's response, etc., the issue is really the same everywhere. There will always be prejudice against certain groups of people, whether based on their ethnicity, religion, culture, gender, or whatever makes them different from the majority, or rather the people in power. There will always be those who will go to any measures to discredit others, make them inferior, because there is an everlasting race for power and wealth.

However, it is important to spread awareness among people who may be prejudiced based on their ignorance, to familiarize them with customs different from their own, and most importantly, to open their minds, free it from the false images they have been fed.
